Well, I suppose I should tell the story in English too. Basically I lost my drum stick bag in January the day before going back to England and I only found out when I got back to Taiwan and was packing (that same night) to go to Korea. No sticks to take for the concerts and no time to go looking around Taipei to see where I might have lost them. Having taken that stick bag to teach the day before I left for UK I knew which places it could have been left (thinking that on the MRT was most likely) so getting back from Korea I began to search the places it could be, all to no avail.

It was kind of embarrassing going to places and asking if they's seen a red stick bag that I'd lost a month ago orz...
So after time I pretty much gave up hope. But then I remembered some experiences and as I do about most things in my life I prayed, a kind of prayer that sounded more like a nagging friend "God I'd really like to get that bag back, can't you help out somehow?" "I know I was careless to lose it but the timing was unlucky too, can't you give me the benefit of the doubt and find it for me?"

Anyway, finally today I was teaching drums in the same place and decided (despite almost 2 months having passed by now and my almost certain feeling that I'd lost the bag on the MRT) I decided to go to the one place I hadn't asked that it could be in. I had lunch in the 'Formosa Chang' restaurant and plucked up courage and face to ask one of the staff if they'd found a red stick back (a long time ago). About two minutes later he came back holding it and handed it over to me with a smile....

I couldn't quite believe it, I felt like it came with a "haha, didn't believe I could do that did you" reply to my prayer and I took it with me to the concert we were playing in the afternoon (which was extremely useful as you might imagine).

So then I'm left with the question of if my stick bag can come back after almost 2 months in the funniest way (I really don't know why a place like Formosa Chang would keep it there for so long just in case) then why doesn't God seem to answer my prayers about important things in the same cool way??

Impossible to know.... but today I was at least reminded that God cares about the things we care about because He genuinely loves us like children. So now when I practice drums I can remember that even more :).

(And for anyone who thinks it's just a lucky coincidence then maybe I should write about my hat story next time orz...)
