Serving the world

Having just got back from mainland China, the first concert back in Taiwan was in a place called Miaoli. It was at a college for students who were mostly studying something to do with the medical profession. I met some students who were studying childcare, others who were studying to become opticians and many others were studying nursing or medicine.

Personally I found it quite humbling to think that we could perform our music for 2000 or more students who are going on to take the kinds of jobs that make this world a better place! I know we all have a responsibility to bring something positive to whatever environment we are placed in, but it was quite a strong feeling to see so many students who wanted to dedicate their study and then work to helping others.

I hope that our music was in some way an encouragement to them as it was certainly inspiring for me to go there, all the best to the students of 仁德 college, Miaoli!
